We just wanted to take a small interlude and give a shout out to MyBlogLog, the best blogger community on the web. Not a blogger? No problem, MyBlogLog is also a great way to find other interesting blogs, whether or not you blog! MyBlogLog has over 140,000 members and 40,000 registered blogs, and continues to grow.
So, what makes MyBlogLog stand out from the crowd? A few things. First of all, they have a handy widget which helps bloggers know who is visiting their site (see: our left sidebar). Moreover, they are incredibly responsive to community feedback. We have written them a few times about issues, questions or concerns and have always received prompt, positive and helpful response.
A MyBlogLog cofounder (recognizable from his ‘Eric‘ avatar that appears in each new MyBlogLog account) even signed up for the relatively new WebUrbanist community on MyBlogLog. He also wrote a friendly and personal letter to us! So, the founder of a 10 million dollar company takes the time to read his members’ blogs, join their communities and write to them. This clearly shows that MyBlogLog is interested in the communities they help create!
Finally, many of the bloggers that regularly read Web Urbanist (and whose blogs we read in return) came through MyBlogLog. While sites like Digg, Reddit, Delicious and StumbleUpon are all interesting ‘Web 2.0′ ways of finding cool stuff online, MyBlogLog is really about connecting people to one another and to sites with quality content over a long term.
So, whether you are someone who reads this site for the cool images of urban art, or someone who likes the social media news, you should join our community on MyBlogLog and then use MyBlogLog to connect to other great blogs!

MBL is definitely a great place to find other cool blogs and bloggers … I used to blog, don’t anymore, but still use the site to find other interesting blogs. Well worth checking out and signing up for

I think that’s one of the best things about it … I’ve seen a lot of members floating around who don’t even have their own blogs - they just use it as a resource to find blogs. It’s nice that the site provides a number of ways to find blogs and members, from tags to ‘hot communities’ and so on.

The problem is that they sold out to Yahoo and lost control. Yahoo wanted for the data. Romlet is the next BIG thing. MBL was cool until they sold out. Still a nice source to find and be found. Love your site

I’m a big fan of MyBlogLog. It got me my real start in gaining an audience for my blog. Also, I learned so much from all the other blogs I found there. The funny thing is you actually meet people and form friendships. It’s nice.
I do think that StumbleUpon is a great social networking place too. Not as blog focused, but I’ve met many friendly folks there too.
…including Web Urbanist!
Best regards!

Definitely also like StumbleUpon a lot too … certainly a good way to find interesting things, and less corrupt than Digg or Reddit! Not a bad place to find interesting people, either, particularly since some users make a ‘blog’ out of it instead of just Stumbling around.
