This airplane traveled the world before finally settling down to rust slowly into oblivion in Nevada. It was supposed to be sold south of the border but the deal fell through and the plane, slowly falling apart, was eventually left to simply sit – deserted in the desert. (Source)
We've all seen an abandoned car or truck, a deserted bus or road ... but stop to admire them? Abandoned vehicles are more than just an eyesore; they can be works of art.
Nothing lasts forever. Abandoned relics of air transport are proof of that. Unused hulking planes and enormous runways are sometimes just left and forgotten.
