This airplane traveled the world before finally settling down to rust slowly into oblivion in Nevada. It was supposed to be sold south of the border but the deal fell through and the plane, slowly falling apart, was eventually left to simply sit – deserted in the desert. (Source)

Much of America's little-remembered history can be found in largely unknown structures scattered across the United States, some of which are silently falling apart.
