Abandoned Asylum
Another of the most commonly found abandonments is the mental institution, many of which went through multiple uses before becoming entirely deserted like the Riverside Hospital on North Brother Island close to the heart of New York City. What is perhaps most amazing is that such prime real estate with a view over to Manhattan hasn’t since been adopted and transformed. (Source)
