LED Throwies Controversial Light Art

LED throwies are a classic and hotly contested form of urban street art. They are simple battery-powered lights that have something sticky (such as tape) attached so that they can be thrown at surfaces to which they then adhere. While they are in some sense temporary and their lights will fade and they can be removed they are still criticized by many as litter. (Source)
