I "drew" a "lifting-body" aircraft (flying wing) on my computer nearly 20 years ago and I still hold to the belief that a long, tubular fuselage, supported by large wings, is an inefficient design. My concept shows that the entire body/wing is a lifting surface that is considerably more efficient. The tailless/rudderless design features thrust vectoring as well as a type of rudder system encapsulated in the aelerons. My design would work for either piston or jet propulsion, with sizes ranging from a four-place configuration to that of several hundred. Although I drew this on an old (now primitive) Corel-Draw program that would be considered substandard compared to today's high-definition drawing programs, it still was good enough for a beautiful, functional design.
