I&#039;ll add one: Allegheny Ludlum Steel, an abandoned steel mill in Menands, NY (USA). It&#039;s a Class 2 Superfund Site, which means it poses a significant threat to public health and the environment. Some cleanup has been done but more is planned. It closed in 1999, and is currently listed as a hazardous waste facility by the EPA.
