Another three-dimensional tile design brings together several different types of lavas and soils that are chromatically compatible with each other. The designers, Mutina and Patricia Urquiola, wanted to “propose terra-cotta’s manual processing techniques,” they say. “The desire to get out of the two-dimensionality of the wall covering, results in the experimentation of the brick, giving shape to new design elements that are aesthetically beautiful and functional with endless application solution for indoor and outdoor.”
