If the work of Kurt Wenner is oriented toward somber classics then the work of Julian Beever is similar in approach but the opposite in terms of its subjects. Beever has some works which are tributes to the classics but many (if not most) of his art is playful, humorous and utterly original. He frequently can be found photographed into his own finished compositions in a funny and offbeat way. He also has worked on fine arts paintings and wall murals. (Source)
