There’s something inherently beautiful about the printed patterns on circuitboards, and some artists have capitalized on that feature by creating gorgeous and functional art. Microchip art isn’t visible by the naked eye, so one is unlikely to randomly stumble upon it. Created during the manufacturing process, these images are typically etched in a corner of the chip that is unused, as a kind of signature of the designer. Anything from animals to famous television characters can be found lurking amongst the transistors.
