Abstract Natural Light Art by Lightmark
If Churkin’s work is characterized by complex layering, extreme movement and bright colors then Lightmark exists at the opposite end of the light art spectrum. The setting for their work is often aesthetically austere and naturally gorgeous – and the art they layer on top of these solemnly beautiful backdrops is simple, elemental and gestural. The net result is a tweak, a small new element into an existing scene – a visual punctuation mark meant to play off of or enhance a setting rather than overwhelm it. (Source)
