    <p><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-19938" title="photoshop-mistakes-main" alt="" src="https://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/photoshop-mistakes-main.jpg" width="468" height="400" /></p>
<p><!--wsa:gooold-->When you’re on a tight budget and up against a deadline, it can be tempting to rush a Photoshop job for an ad, a magazine cover or product packaging. But shortcuts and overzealous image editing can result in <a href="https://weburbanist.com/2009/12/07/photoshop-fail-15-hilariously-botched-images/">more hilarious mistakes</a> like these: stray telltale watermarks, missing reflections and body parts twisted like taffy until they barely seem human.<br />
<span id="more-19936"></span></p>
<h4>Who’s the Dummy</h4>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-19937" title="globe-lorem-ipsum-ad" alt="" src="https://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/globe-lorem-ipsum-ad.jpg" width="468" height="340" /></p>
<h6>(image via: <a href="http://photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com/2010/01/globe-lorem-ipsum-dolor-sit-amet.html ">photoshop disasters</a>)</h6>
<p>Unless Globe’s newest product is called “Lorem Ipsum”, somebody screwed up big time with this ad – actually installed in a public place – featuring the classic dummy text still in place.</p>
<h4>A Stunning Dramatic Twist</h4>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-19939" title="julianne-moore-bulgari" alt="" src="https://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/julianne-moore-bulgari.jpg" width="468" height="324" /></p>
<h6>(image via: <a href="http://www.stylelist.com/2010/01/15/julianne-moore-gets-naked-for-bulgari-ad-campaign/">style list</a>)</h6>
<p>Who knew that all these years, acclaimed thespian Julianne Moore has been hiding devastating deformities: a severely shortened torso, a concave chest and a humpback. What a dazzling testament this revelation is to her abilities as an actress.</p>
<h4>Ahead by a Nose</h4>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-19940" title="toy-boy-sunglasses" alt="" src="https://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/toy-boy-sunglasses.jpg" width="468" height="620" /></p>
<h6>(image via: <a href="http://photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com/2010/01/toy-boy-shades-of-unlikeliness.html ">photoshop disasters</a>)</h6>
<p>Deciding that this cover needed a little something extra, the designer seems to have added a rather improbable pair of sunglasses. Of course, they didn’t look quite right, but a quick fix was found: giving Ashton Kutcher a reverse nose job.</p>
<h4>Imagine Paying for Stock Photography</h4>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-19941" title="nintendo-imagine-watermark" alt="" src="https://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/nintendo-imagine-watermark.jpg" width="468" height="419" /></p>
<h6>(image via: <a href="http://news.spong.com/article/13415/Imagine-Babies-On-Nintendo-DS">spong</a>)</h6>
<p>Nintendo is a multi-billion-dollar company. A stock photo from istockphoto.com costs approximately $12. But apparently that’s $12 too much, judging from the watermark still present on the cover of this DS game for little girls.</p>
<h4>Needs More Head</h4>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-19942" title="womens-world-arm-mistake" alt="" src="https://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/womens-world-arm-mistake.jpg" width="460" height="525" /></p>
<h6>(image via:<a href="http://photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com/2010/02/womans-world-heavily-armed.html "> photoshop disasters</a>)</h6>
<p>Public service announcement for magazine cover designers: shrinking heads to fit models around the logo requires going through an awful lot of trouble for results like this unfortunately mutated woman. Not only is cropping easier, it preserves that desirable “real human” look.</p>
<h4>Lynx Bullet: For Sad, Lonely People</h4>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-19943" title="lynx-bullet-mistake" alt="" src="https://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/lynx-bullet-mistake.jpg" width="468" height="475" /></p>
<h6>(image via: <a href="http://photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com/2010/02/lynx-bullet-yeah-right-whatever.html ">photoshop disasters</a>)</h6>
<p>“Be prepared this festive season”… to make a passionate snow angel on the hood of your car all by yourself, judging from the single set of footprints to and fro.</p>
<h4>Putting it in Perspective</h4>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-19944" title="givenchy-leg-photoshop" alt="" src="https://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/givenchy-leg-photoshop.jpg" width="468" height="351" /></p>
<h6>(image via:<a href="http://forums.thefashionspot.com/f96/fashion-mishaps-1-a-41838-348.html"> the fashions spot</a>)</h6>
<p>There’s no telling what’s going on here: both models are juxtaposed against a bizarrely floating background that gives no sense of space whatsoever. But even more curious is the double-footed, partially foreshortened right leg of the girl on the left.</p>
<h4>An Unreasonably Rosy Outlook</h4>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-19945" title="berlusconi-photoshop" alt="" src="https://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/berlusconi-photoshop.jpg" width="468" height="466" /></p>
<h6>(image via: <a href="http://www.belgraded.com/blog/off-the-record/berlusconi-photoshop">belgraded</a>)</h6>
<p>Sex scandals and questionable mob ties aside, Italian Prime Minster Silvio Berlusconi is a fairly popular leader. But apparently, the crowd at this rally just wasn’t robust enough for the liking of whoever put this magazine spread together and not only cloned several groups of onlookers, but placed a fake bouquet of roses in Berlusconi’s hand.</p>
<h4>Ghost Ship</h4>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-19946" title="galapagos-explorer-reflection-mistake" alt="" src="https://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/galapagos-explorer-reflection-mistake.jpg" width="468" height="238" /></p>
<h6>(image via: <a href="http://photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com/2009/12/galapagos-explorer-uh-huh.html">photoshop disasters</a>)</h6>
<p>Rule number 1 in Photoshop: never neglect the reflection. The Galapagos Explorer appears to be some kind of ghost ship that casts neither a reflection nor a shadow.</p>
<h4>Double Creepy Vision</h4>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-19947" title="thermal-photoshopping" alt="" src="https://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/thermal-photoshopping.jpg" width="468" height="313" /></p>
<h6>(image via: <a href="http://flickr.com/photos/itshailing/401498278/">its hailing</a>)</h6>
<p>“These thermals just aren’t selling, and I can’t imagine why. I mean, it can’t possibly have anything to do with the giant child molester heads we pasted onto the models’ bodies.”</p>
<h4>Borrowed Arms</h4>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-19948" title="kenwood-radio-mistake" alt="" src="https://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/kenwood-radio-mistake.jpg" width="468" height="515" /></p>
<h6>(image via: <a href="http://photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com/2009/12/kenwood-right-to-bare-arms.html">photoshop disasters</a>)</h6>
<p>There’s a perfectly reasonable explanation for this. You know how some celebrities have umbrella holders? Clint here simply has his own personal radio holder. His other arm’s got much more important things to do.</p>

<p><!--wsa:gooold-->Forget silly things like human anatomy and the laws of physics. When it comes to Photoshop, reality needn’t apply – just clone, rotate, skew, blur and hope nobody notices. From missing limbs to outrageously overzealous retouching, an incredible number of Photoshop screw-ups have graced magazine covers, product packaging and store displays.<br />
<span id="more-16828"></span></p>
<h4>A Bounce House for Tiny Floating Kids</h4>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-16830" title="walmart-bounce-house-ad" alt="walmart-bounce-house-ad" src="https://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/walmart-bounce-house-ad.jpg" width="468" height="433" /></p>
<h6>(image via: <a href="http://photoshopmistakes.com/2009/03/18/walmart-bounce-house/">Photoshop Mistakes</a>)</h6>
<p>Either this ‘bounce house’ offered by Walmart has truly amazing properties – causing kids to magically turn into hobbits and develop the ability to float in mid-air – or it’s being marketed to a very small group of tiny mutant children. Either way, that one kid floating above the slide should probably get his parasitic twin checked out by a doctor.</p>
<h4>Why Bother with Fine Print?</h4>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-16831" title="bausch-and-lomb-stump" alt="bausch-and-lomb-stump" src="https://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/bausch-and-lomb-stump.jpg" width="468" height="541" /></p>
<h6>(image via: <a href="http://photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com/2009/02/bausch-lomb-you-are-testing-meaning-of.html ">Photoshop Disasters</a>)</h6>
<p>You’ve got to hand it to Bausch &amp; Lomb (if you still can, that is): at least they’re up front about the terrible, disfiguring side effects you can expect to experience after using their products. They don’t try to hide it in 12 paragraphs of fine print on their website, it’s right there in the ad. Or, perhaps they’re sending the message that if we use their eye drops, we, too, will be too blind to see glaring mistakes like missing limbs.</p>
<h4>Microcephalic Madonna</h4>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-16832" title="madonna-out-magazine" alt="madonna-out-magazine" src="https://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/madonna-out-magazine.jpg" width="468" height="317" /></p>
<h6>(images via: <a href="http://allaboutmadonna.com/madonna-interviews-articles/out-magazine-april-2006">All About Madonna</a> + <a href="http://www.galleryoftheabsurd.com/2006/10/madonna_space_a.html ">Gallery of the Absurd</a>)</h6>
<p>It was a real head-scratcher. When this issue of <em>Out Magazine</em> debuted, people were wondering why Madonna suddenly looks like an alien with a pinhead. It seems that some ‘creative’ Photoshopping was used not only to shrink her skull, but make her shoulders disappear as well.</p>
<h4>Invisible Bike</h4>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-16833" title="invisible-bike" alt="invisible-bike" src="https://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/invisible-bike.jpg" width="468" height="407" /></p>
<h6>(image via: <a href="http://photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com/2009/07/saxo-bank-invisible-bike.html">Photoshop Disasters</a>)</h6>
<p>It’s hard to tell exactly what the graphic designer was going for here. Perhaps they erased part of the bicycle to work on the wall and forgot to put it back in, or they wanted it to appear as if the man was sitting on the wall and neglected to take out the front part of the bike. Or maybe they’re trying to tell us that if you trade with Saxo Bank, they’ll send you a really cool half-invisible bike.</p>
<h4>That Weight Loss Will Cost You</h4>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-16834" title="OK-Magazine-missing-leg" alt="OK-Magazine-missing-leg" src="https://weburbanist.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/OK-Magazine-missing-leg.jpg" width="468" height="630" /></p>
<h6>(image via: <a href="http://photoshopmistakes.com/2009/06/10/ok-magazines-photoshops-not-ok/">Photoshop Mistakes</a>)</h6>
<p>Tara had heard the rumors <a href="https://weight-loss-easy.com/" style="color:inherit;text-decoration:inherit;font-weight:inherit;">about</a> extreme weight loss tactics on The Biggest Loser, but she wasn’t prepared for the terrible price she would ultimately pay to reach her goal. But that’s okay, she was never all that fond of her right leg anyway.</p>
