Urban Geometric Skate Park & Climbing Wall
Doubling as an architectural landmark, the geometric orange-roofed Factoria Joven in Merida, Spain is a skate park and climbing wall designed to provide a safe space for youth to hang out. Constructed of lightweight polycarbonate in methods inspired by those used to create Chinese dragons, the low-cost project by architects SelgasCano Studio took just 13 months to complete.

Glow-in-the-Dark Skate Park
A skate park on an off-grid island in France stays illuminated even at night thanks to a coat of phosphorescent paint. Dreamed up by artist Koo Jeong-A, the glow-in-the-dark effect was inspired by the island’s spooky “mysterious winter landscape.”
Every Surface In This House is Skateable
Everything in this house, down to the bed, is skateable. Francois Perrin grew up skateboarding in Paris in the 1970s, so when he was approached by former pro skateboarder Pierre-Andre Senizergues to design Ramp House, he wasn’t exactly lacking in inspiration. The whole structure looks like a low-ceilinged oval from the outside; the walls are curved, a ramp provides entrance and the kitchen counters have metal trim for grinding.
