An angled-ceiling upper loft area provides privacy for a bedroom and bathroom (but also features an in-floor tea set). Kitchen, living and dining room spaces are situated on the main floor below.
Aside from functions and objects hidden behind horizontal plywood panels, vertical partitions on the primary (lower) level also slide back and forth to separate spaces or create larger rooms as needed.
The concept driving this dynamic design involves the idea of a ‘home as theater’ – a creative space for diverse performances with props fit for any production, public or otherwise.
