Formerly the White Rock Baths and later a movie theater, the Hastings Ice Rink in East Sussex, UK entertained skaters from 1979 through 1997. Flickr use declan visited the decrepit and deteriorating rink in 2009. Maybe if they allowed patrons to smoke and wear hats whilst skating they’d still be open today. Just sayin’.

Spoiled Borscht
From swimming to skating, The Pines hotel and resort had it all. The South Fallsburg, NY borscht belt icon closed in 1998 leaving a big mess and tons of memories: did you know Gene Simmons worked as a lifeguard there in his pre-KISS days? Imagine receiving mouth-to-mouth from The Demon – yikes! Urbex explorer Cory Seamer of Abandoned Relics snapped these shots of the resort’s former ice skating rink in late 2015, and the years of deterioration sure do show.
