Banksy’s disdain for author goes well beyond the police. When it comes to the military he enjoys unlikely juxtapositions and role reversals to illustrate his views, like troopers on high alert carefully painting a peace symbol or a young person frisking an officer, holding a bomb or sneaking up on a sniper. He has also targeted high-profile military-occupied zones in which to work, including the border zone in Palestine and post-Katrina New Orleans.
