As an offshoot of the same series, Benoit Paillé collaborated in generating a set of primarily binary (two-image) lightning storm GIFs that operate along analogously surreal lines.
In this case, despite each scene being fully virtual in terms of content, our pattern recognition abilities to fill in the gaps between frames and render these almost-static and physically ‘fake’ urban images lifelike.
